Summer Junior Programme (for ages 11-18)

An international course for teenagers developing communicative abilities and encouraging self-expression through fun and enjoyable activities based around music, drama, games and movement.

One full-day and five afternoon excursions each week include boat trips, hikes in the mountains, sailing, rock-climbing, sea-kayaking, fun & games on the beach, traditional Irish dancing lessons, trips to nearby towns and sports in our state-of-the-art sports hall including baseball, football, basketball, badminton, indoor hockey and volleyball. Students have free access to internet facilities at designated times during the week.

Transfers from and to Cork Airport, Kerry Airport and Shannon Airport are included in these prices provided that students travel on a Saturday or a Sunday.

You may begin your course on any Monday in June, July or August 2012 with arrivals and departures on Saturdays or Sundays. Courses run from Monday 4th June to Saturday 15th September 2012

An international course for adults combining focused language learning and creative fun-based activities based around music and theatre encouraging self-expression in a stress-free and enjoyable environment.

One full-day and three half-day excursions each week make the most of the fantastic hill and coastal scenery that south-west Kerry has to offer, and a wide variety of pubs with live entertainment and traditional dance venues provide lively entertainment for all.

Transfers from and to Cork Airport, Kerry Airport and Shannon Airport are included in the following prices provided that students travel on a Saturday or a Sunday. The course for summer 2012 begins on Monday 30th July and runs for two and three weeks.

Teenagers travelling with adult learners are welcome to attend our junior programme (ages 11 to 18). Younger children are welcome to attend our international English language sports & games camp (ages 5 to 10) which runs from 9 am to 1pm Monday to Friday. Children then have the option of joining their parents for the afternoon excursions.

Families consisting of minimum three people may choose between accommodation with an Irish host family or self-catering accommodation at no extra charge. Please contact Asana for a quotation for families consisting of four or more people.

A combination of morning English classes and voluntary work experience in the afternoon, this course will suit students who want to be fully immersed in an authentic English speaking environment while gaining valuable experience in the work area of their choice.

Students attend Asana lessons from 9 to 1 each morning. In the afternoon / early evening they work as volunteers in businesses in and around Cahersiveen including restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, computer shops, working farms, childcare and tourist services. Students are welcome to participate on Asana excursions on their day off (usually Saturday).

Students must be sixteen years of age and have a good intermediate level of English. The work-experience course runs through the summer in conjunction with our junior (June, July and August) and adult (August) programmes.
